The competition starts on March 23, 2026.
"A Step To Charity"- This is not just a competition among students—it is a powerful catalyst for social responsibility in the scientific community, where young talents, inspired by their teachers, come together to create a sustainable society in wartime. The project, organized by the Ukrainian Association of Socially Responsible Scientists (UASRS), focuses on the ethical, environmental, and social aspects of research and is fully compliant with Ukrainian legislation on education and public associations. The competition is designed not only to develop creative thinking, but also to make a real contribution to the unity and recovery of Ukraine through science. Register your teams from January 1, 2026, on the UASRS website — together we are building a future where every idea becomes a bridge to the common good!
Stages of the "Step To Charity" competition
- First stageApplication deadline: March 15, 2026. Teams must consist of five students and one supervising instructor.
- Second stageQualifying round. Held within the university (faculty). Starts on March 23, 2026. Will last until April 10, 2026.
- Third stageDetermining the winners of the first round. A selection committee consisting of university (faculty) lecturers will select the three best case teams to proceed to the final round of the competition. The competition will run until April 17, 2026.
- The fourth stageFinal. The teams that took the first three places in the qualifying round participate in the final. The final is held from April 20, 2026, to May 20, 2026.
- The fifth stagePresentation of projects by teams and selection of winners. The event will take place offline at one of the universities. The jury will be selected by the UASRS and will consist of university (faculty) management and representatives of relevant state institutions.
- Sixth stageFestive concert and award ceremony for the winners.
The event will take place in the concert hall and will include invitations to figures from the worlds of culture, education, and science, as well as representatives of state authorities.
